Alyssa Riegel

My destiny to become an artist is intertwined with my family’s artistic legacy. National awards for photography in high school were followed by a BFA in photography and electronic media from West Virginia University (WVU). While at WVU, I was Communications Vice President of the Iota chapter of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. I also studied fashion and product photography in Italy for a summer at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. After graduating in the midst of a pandemic, I furthered my education and expanded my skillset while earning an MFA in photography and electronic media with an emphasis in curatorial studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). While at MICA, I was a Graduate Program Assistant, sales associate at the MICA Store, graduate student representative of the MICA exhibition committee, and Graduate teaching resulting in a College Teaching Certificate. I have expertise in Microsoft Office, the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as other creative platforms. I have professional experience in and am available for hire as a full-time, part-time, or freelance photographer, photo and video editor, and graphic designer. I am currently based in Pennsylvania. I can work remotely, am available to travel, and I am even open to relocating.
